The Chocolate Confections of Jean-Marie Auboine at the Vegas Food & Wine Festival

The Chocolate Confections of Jean-Marie Auboine

Master Chocolatier and Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Marie Auboine, is bringing over 20 years of culinary expertise to the 2012 Las Vegas Wine and Food Festival with an assortment of sweet delights. From bon bons, chocolate covered nuts, truffles, bars, marshmallows, caramels and jams, Auboine will have a booth fully stocked of all the sugary, and sugar-free, chocolate treats guests can hope for.

Breaking away from working as the executive pastry chef at Bellagio, Auboine opened his self branded business six months ago and is looking forward to bringing his homemade delicacies to the pool deck in September.

“This event is nice because it’s a way to give back to the community, be part of a charity event, it’s good networking as well and we can show off our new brand since we are only six months old,” said Auboine.

Among Auboine’s list of favorites, which will be available at the festival, the sea salt caramels, raspberry and jasmine tea bon bon and truffles and his specialty lion bar are at the top of his list of recommendations for guests to be sure to stop by to taste at the event.

“We have a lot of different products we will have there. We have a little bit of everything for everyone,” Auboine said. “I’m excited to feature the Lion Bar, which is a rice crispy treat with salty caramel inside and crunchy hazelnut Praliné. It’s a signature piece and is something people will really like.”
